Craig's weekly roundup 17.02.20

Weekend review:

Young activators - on Wednesday, during their mid-term school holiday, a number of our junior members gave up their time to attend a Young Activators course at Lochore Meadows. The Young Activators award is the first rung on the coaching ladder and will see some of our older juniors begin to take a bit of responsibility during coaching sessions at the club. They will lead warm-ups and cool-downs, help organise equipment for sessions and feed into the planning process for future sessions. Well done to all who gave up their valuable school holiday to complete this and we're looking forward to seeing you get more involved.

  1. Parkrun - before the rain of Storm Dennis arrived 8 club members were at Craigtoun to get another parkrun under their belts. Performance of the day went to Gwen Tivendale who led the entire female field home to finish 1st female overall for the first time ever.Carnethy 5 - Alasdair Hood was in Penicuik to take on this hill run that takes in 5 hill tops over the course of its route. Alasdair finished in 1:28:37 for 12th in his age category.Annual awards night - on Saturday night 30 club members descended on the Tavern in Strathkinness for the annual awards ceremony.
